Description:
This lovely ground floor apartment is situated near La Finca Golf Course. It has 2 double bedrooms and a full bathroom. The lounge is very tastefully furnished and has an open plan kitchen. It is in a fantastic position, overlooking the communal pool and tennis courts. It has a panaromic view of the surrounding area and countryside.

Surrounded by orange groves, it’s only a 35 minute drive from either Alicante or Murcia airports, and 10 minutes from the excellent Blue Flag beach at Guardamar, and the lively town of Torrevieja, with its water park, waterfront cafes, market and marina, for shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

A 5 minute walk away is the ‘Club de Tenis’ with excellent floodlit courts, outdoor pools, gymnasium etc. The club has a bar and restaurant with the ‘Menu of the Day’ for about £5 for 3 courses with wine and coffee included.

Alicante and Murcia airports are approximately 35 minutes drive away.

Car hire is easy to arrange and reasonably priced if you book in advance.

Local Area / Facilities:
There are two local towns within 5 minutes drive, Algorfa (market day Sunday) and Los Montesinos (market day Sunday) which are very Spanish with plazas, small supermarkets, local bars and restaurants.

Guardamar is about 10 minutes drive away and has a large street market on a Wednesday and Almoradi (superb Saturday market).

Torrevieja is best for the ‘Big Shop’ with superstores Carrefour and Lidl just 10 minutes drive away. For nightlife Torrevieja has it all with its casinos, clubs, restaurants and bars and during the day there are excellent shops, a marina and a bustling port with a ‘Hippy Market’ and fun fair.

If your prefer cultural/historic visits there are plenty of palaces, cathedrals, museums, monasteries and art galleries to visit in towns and cities such as Murcia, Cartagena, Oriheula and Alicante.

Alicante is only 30 minutes away and has a wonderful marina, a floodlit castle overlooking the bay and every conceivable type of cuisine is catered for. The shops in Alicante are very good and of course the famous El Corte Ingles is a must visit.

For the kids the place to go is Terra Mitica. It is a large theme park near Benedorm (60 minutes away). It is themed into different worlds and the rides are great. Unlike Disney you can find your way around relatively easily and you can cover the whole park in a day.

Visit the lakes and bathe in the ‘mud’ as the locals do, it’s free! Guardamar and La Marina are recommended local beaches with miles of white sandy coastline. Mar Menor is only a short drive away with its large inland salt water lake, which has a warmer sea temperature than the Mediterranean.

Beaches:
The Costa Blanca means ‘White Coast’ due to its fine white sandy beaches, many of which are awarded the ‘European Blue Flag’. This coupled with an average 320 days a year of sunshine makes this an ideal holiday destination. Due to the health giving properties of the Salt Lakes combining with the climate, the World Health Organisation rates this area as one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

Golf:
La Finca is a 52 hole golfing oasis in the heart of the Spanish countryside and is the newest and arguably the best on the Costa Blanca (handicap certificate required). Golf La Finca features the number one championship golf course on the Costa Blanca and is ideal for a few days golf, leisure, or a complete Summer/ Winter golfing or family holiday. This is planned to be a future Spanish Open and Ryder Cup venue and is literally walking distance away.

La Finca has an excellent 19th tee with a terraced bar serving tapas and holding regular barbecues plus a very good silver service restaurant.

La Finca Golf Course is a short drive away. This is a championship course and will host the Spanish Open in 2008. Remember to bring your handicap certificate with you. Below is a guide to fees:

There are also other golf courses nearby. Ten minute drive away is La Marquesa golf course located in Rojalas / Quesada. A fifteen minute drive away are Raul Club de Golf, Campoamor and Villamartin Golf course, or La Manga Club course which is about a forty-five minute drive.

A non refundable deposit of €250 / £150 is required to secure your rental booking. The balance is due no later than 6 weeks prior to your holiday rental.
